Slacker...

Obviously I've totally been a slacker and have failed to update this. I have so many ideas about how I want this to look and the path I want to take, but actually writing it down is the trial here. So I apologize to those who actually look at this from time to time and want to know what I'm doing.

Here's the update. Since my last post I've moved onto West Point with an amazing family who decided to take poor lil ol me in for a while. I've gotten accepted into the University of Memphis in the graduate program, I will be starting in August 2010 (hopeful graduation date of May 2012) in pursuit of my masters degree in Sport Commerce. It is an online degree which means I'm sticking around Army for a while. Which is great since I've almost been working at Army for a year and have been working my way up the totem pole.

To add to the list of craziness, our Young Life Area Director accepted a position with MCYM in Hawaii and left last week. Why does this matter to me? The Chapel system is working on bringing someone else in to fulfill the job, however in the meantime they need to keep the contract around....insert Hannah as the new interim West Point Young Life-Club Beyond Director. I get to lead the youth of this area (O'Neill High School) as long as I can.

At the end of April I ran my first half-marathon in New York City's Central Park. It was the More/Fitness Mag Half, and after almost five months of training (starting with 1 mile and working my way up) I completed my half in a time of 2 hours and 37 minutes. What an accomplishment that was to cross the finish line. In fact, I enjoyed it SO much, I'm running another half Labor Day weekend with my dear friend Allison in Virginia Beach. Yup, it will be a weekend of running a half marathon then chilling on the beach for two days straight. Can't argue with that. To again add to my madness, I am currently in training to run my first MARATHON on October 31st in Washington D.C. It's the Marine Corps Marathon and I'm both excited and terrified. I have faith I will accomplish this next goal though, however painful it is.

That's my life in a nutshell right now. Extremely busy, but definitly worth the busyness. I will try my best to keep everyone updated more on my adventures and try to keep it updated on the daily randomness of live.
