Ready for Nashville!

In a little over a week I will be on a flight once again, this time to Charlotte, NC. My friend Allison is picking me up and we're driving 7 hours to Nashville, TN, to meet my Aunt Gretchen who's flying in from Portland, OR and we're all running a half marathon together in the great Country city. Someone asked me last week where I was jet setting to this time, and I kind of laugh thinking "I don't travel THAT often".

I don't think of myself as some great world traveler, someone who jets off to random places all the time, but I guess I kind of am. And this is the time to do it. Young, single, not tied down and flexible job...why not take advantage of it? Why not use the free time and extra money to go off to random places, whether's it's just down to NYC for dinner, or off to Boston or Philly for a day trip, or a weekend adventure to a city with friends. I love that I have this flexibility right now.

I say if you have the time and budget the money, go out and make life the most of what you want it to be! If you're content with living life comfortable, sticking around the area and chilling with your friends that's awesome! I was like that before I moved out to New York. There is just so much to do out here, and as I get older my friends have begun to spread out to places like North Carolina, California, Arizona, Texas and overseas. Why not jump into adventure?

Anyway, Nashville next week. I've only been to Nashville once, two years ago and had a blast. We stayed right downtown and did a lot of tourist things. I'm kind of excited to enjoy some of the night lift and music scene Nashville has to offer. Not going to get crazy, because well it's me, but Country music will probably be a direct cause to some good ol'fashion line dancing. Just better becareful until Saturday's race!
